Chenille Pillow

Chenille is so easy to do; you will love this class.
To make a pillow top, you will need enough fabric to cover your pillow plus seam allowances to stitch it to the back as well as some shrinkage.
You will need 4 layers that match if you want to use a panel or if you are using a regular fabric that has a repeat. If you're doing a scrappy chenille, you just need 4 layers for your pillow top.
For example: I want to make a pillow top that is going to be on a 20" by 20" pillow form. I will want to have my fabric have at least an additional 1-2" for shrinkage and at least 1" for seams. So I would want my fabric to be at least 23" square. It's always better to trim down than not have enough!
You will also need a chenille cutter - available in the store.
Bring your sewing machine with cords and pedals and your sewing kit. Rotary cutter, scissors, pins are necessities!
This is an example of a scrappy chenille. Red is the bottom fabric with a pink/orange then orangey red then a coral on top.
