Stripe-pies Square Rug





Make a Square rug for your bathroom,
kitchen, or in front of the hearth and
make it in the colors to match your
decor.  Great project for gifts also!
   Strip-ies Square Rug

Prep for the first class:
1.  Take 42 - 2 1/2" strips and sort them into two piles, running from light to dark.  There should be 21 strips per pile.
2.  Trim off salvage and cut each piece to 32"-- Be sure to keep them in color order.  Pin each 21 piece group together.
3.  Bring both 21 piece groups that are cut to 32" each to class along with a
2 1/2" pre-cut batting roll.  This should be a 50 yard roll.
It is important to get this homework done before the First
Class.
You will need the following:

1.  2/3 yard for accent fabric for inner & outer border or 1/3 of a yd of 2  different colors.
2.  Size 14-16 jeans needle
3. At least a Large spool of thread to coordinate with fabrics
      varigated usually works well.
4.  Mary Ellen's Best Press
5.  Sewing machine with at
     least a 5.5mm zig zag.
6.  Basic Supplies
